昨年に引き続き、2025年度も国際英語学科の学生が「AMIKAS FESTA」に参加しました。AMIKAS とは、福岡市男女共同参画推進センターの通称で、センターは福岡市南区大橋に位置しています。国際英語学科には3つの学びの分野があり、その1つが「国際関係・交流分野」です。学科は、国際機関だけでなく、国内の機関で女性の活躍を応援する事業に積極的に参加しています。こうした活動を通して、社会における女性の参画の意義を肌で理解することができます。学生と共に活動したのは、Doyle准教授（アイルランド出身）です。
On Saturday, November 8 posters from the EAGL students were on display at the AMIKAS FESTA. The theme for this year was ‘Women at Work’. Twenty posters were on display and over 250 people came to look at them and vote for the poster that they liked the most. This year the students had taken a photo and then wrote a haiku about the photo, then they translated the haiku into English. 会場に足を運んでくださった皆さんによる投票結果は、1位「母の愛」、2位「細き腕」、3位「異国の地」でした。ご協力頂いた皆様に感謝申し上げます。
Also, on the day students from EAGL assisted with the poster display. They explained about the theme and generally just helped people with any questions that they had about the posters. Many people were happy to view the posters and enjoyed the photos and the haiku that the students had written. 企画から実施まで全て学生が行いました。
