【Event】EAGL Poster Contest at AMIKAS

On Saturday, November 9th AMIKAS, the Fukuoka City Gender Equality Promotion Center, held its annual festival(アミカスフェスタ). As part of the Festa, AMIKAS sponsored the EAGL poster contest. On the day 20 posters by EAGL students were on display. Seven students from EAGL also supported the poster display during the day. They warmly welcomed the visitors to the display and explained about the concept of the display, ‘Women Who Inspire Us’. Each visitor had just one vote and they had to decide on which poster they thought was the best. Many people took their time and read the descriptions which accompanied each poster. It was a busy day with almost 300 people visiting the display during the day. Many visitors were very impressed with the high quality of the posters and the variety of people that inspired our students!

So, with no further ado, let us introduce the top three posters. Drum roll please…..

At No.3 we had a poster by Ms. S.U.  This poster was inspired by Ogata Sadako, the former UN High Commissioner. 

At No.2 we had a poster by Ms. M.I. This poster was inspired by Riisa Naka, actress, fashion model, businesswoman.

And at No.1 we had a poster by Ms. K.S. This poster was also inspired by Ogata Sadako-san and her work at the UN.

So, congratulations to the top three – they will receive their prizes from AMIKAS. And well done to everyone else who submitted a poster to this year’s contest!
