本日（2022年4月2日）入学式が執り行われました。2019年末にコロナウィルスの感染が拡大したときは、多くの入学生の皆さんは高校1年生だったと思います。それから2年間厳しい状況の中でしっかり勉強を続け本日に至りました。また、編入生の皆さんにとっては短期大学での2年間はコロナ禍での生活でした。これからの4年間、また、編入生にとっては2年間が充実した学習期間であることを祈ります。

Today, 2 April 2022, the matriculation ceremony was held at Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University. Most of the freshers were the first-year students at high school when the COVID-19 virus was reported first. They worked very hard during the difficult years. For transferred students, they spent their junior college in the pandemic. We are glad to meet you today, and we do hope that you spend lovely four or two years in the EAGL.

季節は春に変わりました。桜は静かに厳しい冬に耐えこの季節を迎えます。他の花々も私たちの目を楽しませてくれます。私たちの学びも同じです。準備された答えを探し当てる学習から、答えのない問題に自分の力で取り組む本当の学問が始まります。世の中は答えのない問いに満ちています。これから共に考え、議論し、自分の見つけた問いに自分で答えを探し求めて下さい。入学おめでとうございました。

Seasons have changed. Cherry trees await this season quietly through a cold winter. Other flowers too delight our eyes and fill us with joy. So is our learning. You might have been trying to find the answers ready to be found at high school, but now you will start to find the answers on your own for the questions you raise. The world is full of questions which have yet to be answered. Now, let's think and discuss various issues together. Through this we hope you find your own answers. Congratulations!
