クリスマスを前に、福岡女学院幼稚園の子供たちを招待して、English Loungeで英語のイベントが行われました。テーマは 「世界旅行」。アフリカで様々な動物に会い、アメリカでハロウィンのお化けたちに会い、最後はヨーロッパでクリスマスパーティ。歌ったり、走り回ったり、背中にそれぞれ「羽」をつけて、世界の旅を楽しみました。




  
その後、Brajcich先生による絵本鑑賞。先生が子供たちに読んでいる本は、短大の学生がオリジナルで作成した英語の絵本。

On Thursday, December 21, the second-year Immersion Class students hosted 25 children from the Fukuoka Jo Gakuin kindergarten to enjoy an hour of English with them. The theme of the class was "Traveling Around the World" and included "visits" to Africa, America and Europe. We enjoyed learning different vocabulary and expressions related to each region, and about the seasons and some holidays. We also enjoyed lots of singing and dancing and some storybook time. Students created the whole lesson including great computer graphics, video and audio in addition to a gift placemat (world map and ABC chart) as well as name tags and so much more.
