国際キャリア学部には海外提携校に長期留学する「Study Abroad」科目が設けられています。このプログラムでは成績などの履修条件を満たしている希望者は９カ国・地域にある１６の提携校のいずれかに留学し、留学先と提携して行う成績評価によって単位が認定されます。したがって、卒業が遅れることなく、学期中に留学することが可能です。留学中の学びを活かして帰国後にTOEICの成績を大幅に上げ、７００点台から８００点台の得点をあげる学生も相次いでいます。

このコーナーでは海外提携校へ留学中の学生からの報告をシリーズで紹介しています。５０回目となる今回は今年４月からニュージーランドのオークランド大学に留学中のＳ．Ｈさん（２年、大分県立大分舞鶴高等学校出身）の報告です。

Almost two months have passed since I came to Auckland. I'm getting used to my life here and culture of New Zealand. I have learned a lot of things here. Almost all of them I learned from my host family. I'd like to tell you one of them, which always remains in my mind. It is to be "open-minded".

Saying what you are thinking and asking what you do not understand are the most important things. People in New Zealand don't worry about making mistakes. They think it's the best way to improve things. When I heard it for the first time, I thought it's different from Japan but now I agree with them. You can not only improve your English but also learn about other cultures and understand different ways of thinking while studying abroad.

I'm so happy to come here and have a lot of experiences which I've never done before.
