2016／The ICD held the Christmas Talent Show 2016.

On December 7, 2016, The Department of International Career Development held the Christmas Talent Show.

This is the second year for ICD to host the Christmas Talent Show. One main purpose for the Talent Show was to create an opportunity for students to work with each other, learn from teamwork and make more friends, at the same time, to practice their communication skills. Apart from taking classes, it is also significant for all to have some beautiful memories that they will never forget when they think of their university life.

Last year the Talent Show was a great hit. All the participants had a great time together and made more close friends along the way. This year as usual, the students took the initiatives: they planned, coordinated, organized, and participated.

There were more varieties this year with all different kinds of programs compared to last year. Starting with Yosakoi, Martial Arts, dance, singing, we also had other beautiful ethnical colors presented by our students from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and China.

As usual, the most exciting screams were always found in the last part: the fashion show. There were a few themes for the show such as Christmas, formal, Japanese, Chinese, Indian. The students dressed up and showed themselves in front of us with great confidence, even the shy ones looked so confident and happy.

It had been a very short period for the students since they started preparing for the show; however, given the time pressure, they did a great job with high efficiency. This also allowed the students from different years to work together as they don’t really have chances to come across. It helped create more synergy in the department.

Now the year 2016 is about to end and 2017 is around the corner, we hope everyone in ICD has had a great 2016 with lots of joy and wonderful memories, wish the year 2017 a brand new year for all with more dreams come true!
