国際英語学科では選択必修科目の1つとして海外留学科目を履修しない学生を対象に「Summer English Camp」（2単位）を開講しています。今年は8月24日（月）〜29日（土）まで行われます。この間学生達は大学での授業の他に学内の寮に泊まり込み、まさに「英語づけ」の生活を送ります。また、講師は短期プログラムを専門とする教師をイギリスから招聘します。
今日で開始から4日目。受講生も生活に慣れ午前9時〜午後6時30分まで学習、夜は寮で最終日のプレゼンテーションに向けた準備を行います。最終日のプロジェクトの様子は次回の報告でお伝えします。以下、授業の様子です。
The Department of English as a Global Language (EAGL) has a special programme called "Summer English Camp" for the students who do not study abroad. The SEC is held this year from the 24th to the 29th of August. Two credit hours will be given to this programme.
The students study from 9.00 am till 6.30 pm in the classroom. They stay at a residence hall on campus during this camp, and even there they study to prepare for the presentation on the final day. They use English literally "from morning till night", i.e. "all day long".
