2020年度はCOVID19(コロナウイルス)感染拡大により、遠隔（オンライン）で授業が行われました。オンライン授業では対面授業の際とは違ったコミュニケーション能力、プレゼンテーションスキル等が必要とされます。この記事では短期大学部のStella Millikan先生の「English for Tourism」の授業を紹介します。
In this class you will explore the world via the internet and research a country or countries of your choosing. You will learn key vocabulary for travel itineraries and explaining tourist attractions to visitors. In addition you will present your research findings to the class in various presentations forms such as 1) posters, 2) brochures and 3) power point presentations introducing various points such as 1) the location, the best season for travelling there, facts about its climate, culture, do's and don'ts, types of entertainment, arts and wildlife. You will make an itinerary, complete with travel dates and prices, and the means of transportation within the country. In addition, you will keep all of your key information about your country in English in a 39-page travel journal that will be used throughout the course.

この授業では、学生が各自で興味のある国を選び、ポスター、パンフレット、パワーポイントスライドを作成し、その国の風土、気候、レジャーなどの特色を発表します。その活動を通して、旅程作成や旅行者への旅の魅力を説明する英単語、英語表現を学びます。
