One of the fields in the Department of English as a Global Language which students can study is International Exchange, and one example of this is UMAP.  UMAP stands for University Mobility in Asia and Pacific. Established in 1993, UMAP supports student exchange between universities in Asia and the Pacific region.  Japan has been actively involved in UMAP since its establishment.  UMAP offers scholarships to students interested in taking part in exchange programs.  UMAP also holds conferences for scholars and administrators to exchange ideas on student mobility in Asia and the Pacific.  It is expected that more student exchange in Asia and the Pacific will be facilitated through UMAP.
